„Yoga house on a clif”

What is YOGA HOUSE?
With out thinking, you can say: it is an oasis of peace, concentration and contemplation where you can „stop” for a moment far from the hustle and bustle and everyday reality. The facility is located on a south-west, wooded slope that opens up a panorama of the valley and the nearby hills. Undoubtedly, this unique location allows communing with nature while being inside the building. The desired effect was achieved thanks to the glazing of the outer walls of the hall and the roof. Only the openwork cover of the façade protects against intense sun.

The object with a simple shape of the building, based o a circular plan, gives the impression of a sober and modern structure. The yoga room is located in the part of the building overhanging the cliff, enhancing the impression of open space. Exercises among the treetops help to calm down your thoughts, enter a state of relaxation and meditation. Thanks to this, participation in yoga classes brings the expected results and satisfaction. The object has equipped facilities such as changing rooms and toilets. On the first floor, an open mezzanine with a kitchenette allows you to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and at the same time allows you to admire the views of the vast landscape. The yoga house project shows how important the context of the place is when we face such a unique design challenge.

From the dawn of time, man has been using nature’s goods. Wood is a necessary and irreplaceable material in human life. It allowed us to build shelters, create tools as well as keep warm. Inspired by a tree stump and the use of wood as the main building material in YOGA HOUSE is a tribute to nature.Tree stump is a symbol of the balanced exploitation of forest areas. Balance is also a keyword in yoga philosophy.Doing yoga helps to understand the mechanisms that govern the human body. Yoga brings people closer to achieving inner stability and balance between body and spirit. The YOGA HOUSE project has been gifted with special sensitivity and lightness thanks to the penetration of nature into the building’s interior. The yoga room has been glazed on three sides, showing the tops of nearby trees, a vast valley and distant hills. It is hard to imagine a better environment for exercise and contemplation.
